What is right:

Certain word used in Buddhism are unique in meaning for each individual and that is why
there is no set template for practice in Buddhism.

Take for example the word RIGHT.

The word RIGHT in Buddhism is not the opposite of wrong, is not the opposite of left, is not exactly the same as what is right for another person.
You are left to explore that RIGHT by yourself. in case you have absolute faith in your master
and the master is capable, then that master will know what is RIGHT for you.

That's the only two ways i know to find out the RIGHT.

Of course if Buddha were alive Buddhs could find that RIGHT for you.
Do not go refer to a book to find out that RIGHT. you won't find it.

Do not go casually go asking around that RIGHT, no one has that answer for you.
Do not be so smart too and test out your potential master what that RIGHT is and blame those
who give you the wrong answer.

That's not the right way to find a master, and not the right way to find that RIGHT.
DEPENDING ON YOUR PAST KARMA, your RIGHT is unique like no one else because
your past Karma is unique.

Don't try having more that one master and you will end up with more than one right and all those rights are wrong not because of the masters but because of your own confusion and impurity in your mind.

The first step to take in finding out the RIGHT is to be self responsible, and to stop wanting to find blame on others, and to stop PRETENDING what you are not.

Be serious in wanting to be a Buddhist, and be serious in wanting to find what is RIGHT
for you by yourself or through your faith in the master.
